Michael B. Berry has held the position of CEO and President of American Health Value (AHV) for over 15 years. Mr. Berry holds the Consumer Directed Health Care Specialist designation and the Leading Producers Round Table (LPRT) President's Council designation - both awarded from the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).
Prior to this, he worked as Executive Director of large law firms, and was an Executive Council Agent for New York Life specializing in Estate Planning. Mr. Berry has been licensed in Life, Health, Property, Casualty, Series 6, and 63 Securities. Mr. Berry holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Business Administration, and is a decorated Vietnam veteran.
AHV was a founding member of CAHI (Council for Affordable Health Insurance). Mr. Berry actively participated in promoting the HSA program as past chairman of CAHI’s National Working Group directly involved with the US Treasury and IRS for interpretation, implementation, and expansion of HSAs.
Through his involvement with the NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee), he was appointed to serve as Idaho’s member on the New Presidential Business Commission, the National Business Advisory Council, and received the 2003 Businessman of the Year award representing the state of Idaho. Under Mr. Berry’s leadership, AHV was selected for the 2008 Best of Boise Award in the Employee Benefit & Compensation Plans category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA) located in Washington, D.C.
