Your HSA Is Getting An Upgrade!

As your HSA Administrator, all of us at American Health Value are excited to announce that we have made a change in our custodial banking partner, resulting in a significant upgrade for our HSA members.

After a 10 year partnership with The Bancorp Bank, we will now be beginning a new custodial banking relationship with HealthEquity.
 

What This Means For You:

There will be no action required on your part.  As we move forward with this transition, you will notice significant improvements to the overall user experience and will now have immediate access to new and innovative tools and resources available through an upgraded online banking platform.  In addition, you can look forward to new features like insurance claims tracking and management, mobile apps, and a robust, user-friendly investment portal.

We are thrilled to finally announce these changes and enhancements to our members, and we look forward to providing you these new and exciting features, coupled with the reliable expertise and customer service you have counted on with American Health Value over the years.
 

So, What's Next?

We understand the importance of helping you understand your new HSA features.  Watch for some additional communications that will outline key dates, and the new HSA management tools and resources you can look forward to.  

Welcome Letter:

You will receive a welcome letter from us in the next couple of weeks.  This letter will include a timeline of important events, in addition to key differences between your current HSA with Bancorp's banking services vs. the new tools and resources available to you through HealthEquity's banking services.

Debit Card & Welcome Kit:

Your American Health Value HSA Card and welcome kit will be mailed together by mid-November.  Instructions of how to access your personalized member portal will be included.

Timeline of Important Events:

Keep these dates below in mind as we guide you through the transfer to your new HSA platform with American Health Value.  We are fully committed to both our HSA members and the success of this transfer and are standing by, readily available to provide you any assistance you need during this migration.  

*There will be no action required on your part to complete this transition.

October 30, 2015 Custodial resignation letter from The Bancorp Bank is mailed.
November 16, 2015 New American Health Value debit card and welcome kits begin to mail.  Allow up to 14 days for delivery.
November 30, 2015 The Bancorp Bank resigns as custodian of your HSA.  You must close your account if you do not want your HSA funds automatically transferred to HealthEquity.
December 1, 2015
  • HealthEquity is now custodian of your HSA.
  • Final day to use Funds Transfer and Bill Pay with Bancorp Bank.
  • HSA contributions by you and/or your employer can continue to be sent to American Health Value.
December 4, 2015 Final day to write checks or use your HSA debit card issued by The Bancorp Bank.
December 5-6, 2015 Account usage discontinued at The Bancorp Bank as balances are transferred to HealthEquity.
December 7, 2015 Your balance at The Bancorp Bank as of December 4, 2015 is available at HealthEquity.
March 31, 2016 Final day for online access to your HSA information at The Bancorp Bank.
