Welcome to our Voltage Email Encryption support page. Here you'll find a step-by-step walkthrough (complete with screenshots) and a link out to a video tutorial that should answer any questions or troubles you may be experiencing with your Voltage registration.
You'll only need to complete the registration process once, and although it can take a few minutes to initially set up it helps us to provide a high level of security and service to you, your clients and/or employees. We appreciate your patience in this process.
As always, we're here to help! If you're unable to register your email address after following the steps below, please contact us so we can provide further assitance as needed.
Step 1: Opening the Attachment to Begin
You should have received an encrypted email from our office that looks exactly like this. If you're using a computer (as opposed to a mobile phone) all you need to do is open the attachment. It should open up in a browser window, and take you to a webpage that looks like the screenshot below, in step 2.
Step 2: Opening the Encrypted Email
This is what the webpage should look like. All you need to do is click the blue button to "read message" and continue moving through the verification/registration process. Once you click the blue button, you'll be taken to another webpage that looks like the screenshot below in step 3.
Step 3: Choosing Your Email for Registration
Voltage wants to know which email account to associate with your new Voltage registration. Simply pick your own email account (the one you just received the encrypted message to) and click "View Message". You'll be taken to a new webpage that looks like the screenshot below in step 4.
Step 4: Creating a Username/Password
In this step, you'll be creating a username and a password for your free Voltage account. Just put in your name, choose your password and click "continue". You'll be taken to a webpage that looks like the screenshot below in step 5.
Step 5: Check Your Inbox for Verification Link
Jump back over to your inbox. You should have a new email from Voltage SecureMail. Open that email up, and click on the link as shown in the screenshot below in step 6.
Step 6: Verifying Your Email Address
This is the last step in the Voltage registration process, and will allow you to read encrypted emails with minimal effort going forward. Click the link in the email you just received, and you'll be taken out to the Voltage console to view the original encrypted message you received from American Health Value, as demonstrated below in step 7.
Step 7: Reading and Responding to Encrypted Messages in the Voltage Console
This is what emails will look like in the Voltage console. You can read the body of the emails, and download any attachments that may be present. You'll notice at the bottom, you have the option to "reply", "reply to all" and "forward" the email. When you reply from this console, the information you send back to us will be encrypted as well, which is the safest way to transfer any sensitive information like SSN's or account numbers. Up at the top, you can also choose to "sign out". If you sign out, you'll be prompted to enter a password everytime you receive an encrypted email from us. Conversely if you just close the browser window, you won't have to put in any information the next time you receive an encrypted email from us. It saves a step, but could potentially pose security problems if someone unauthorized somehow obtained access to your email inbox.
I hope this walkthrough was able to address any problems you were experiencing. Here's another link to the video tutorial in case you'd like to check that out as well. And as always, please contact us with any questions you have. Thanks for setting up your Voltage account!
